James was born in Worcester Massachusetts to the late Harry and Bertha Jenkins. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
James was an avid record collector and had an unofficial radio station broadcasted from his basement in Worcester. Music was a very big part of his life, even during his later years, when he and many friends sang karaoke.
In his later years he moved to New Jersey to be near his brother Robert. James lived in Leisure Village for many years, moving to Spring Oaks of Toms River Assisted Living until his death.
He was predeceased by his brothers Robert Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins; his sisters Bertha Ostromecky, Marion Talabac, Eleanor Burdick and Harriet Tyler.
He will be sorely missed by the many people that he touched with his big heart, excellent sense of humor and large laughter.
Funeral services will be private.
