

James Frank Camiscoli died Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was 86. Born in Lodi, he resided in Hasbrouck Heights before settling in Lakewood 14 years ago. James graduated from NYU with a PhD in Biochemistry. He worked in research and was a professor at his alma mater. Prior to retiring about 30 years ago, he was a Research Scientist for North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY, working specifically in cancer research. James also received a degree in computer science, and became very interested in computers – he loved to make photo montages on DVDs. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph. Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Mary; 2 daughters: Deborah Spedick and her husband Michael of Toms River, and Rebecca Cressen and her husband Mark of Shrewsbury; 1 son: Robert and his wife Nancy of Montvale; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Sikoski and her husband Paul, Laura Sanchez and her husband Juan Carlo, Jessica Cressen, Andrew Spedick, Sarah Camiscoli, Joseph Camiscoli, James Spedick, and Matthew Cressen; 1 great-granddaughter: Ashley Sikoski; 2 brothers: Albert & Frank; and 3 sisters: Ruth, Margaret and Betty. Private funeral services are under the direction of the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. He will be laid to rest in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
