Helen "Pat" Workman

Helen “Pat” Workman, age 84, of Lakewood, NJ, after a lengthy illness while surrounded by family, Pat went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2014 at Kimball Hospital. Pat will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, working, crossword puzzles and spending time with family. She was predeceased by her son Gregory, and is survived by Maurie her beloved husband, her soul mate and eternal friend of 60 years, her 3 sons, Geoffrey of Somers Point, NJ, Paul (Mary) of Boca Raton, FL, Steve (Valerie) of Furlong, PA and her daughter Susan of Somers Point, NJ, 6 grandchildren; Christina, Brian, Brittany, Erika, Jessica and Stephen, and 3 great-grandchildren.Pat was a member of the International PEO sisterhood and served as president of her local chapter. She is a charter member of the Living Word Baptist Church of Beachwood, NJ. More than anything in life, she loved her family. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2– 4pm and 7-9pm at D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her memory to Living Word Baptist Church, 320 Compass Ave, Beachwood, NJ 08722.
