Helen Nemeth

Helen Nemeth (nee Hodge), 95, born in Lowell, Ma on March 25, 1922, passed away peacefully at her home in Lakewood on April 11, 2017. She lived in Brooklyn and College Point, NY before finally settling in Lakewood, NJ. Helen was a professional dancer as a child. She was an avid dancer, reader, knitter, movie goer, watching Dancing with the Stars and her true love in life was spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Nemeth is predeceased by her husbands, Daniel S. Winiarski and Louis Nemeth and grandson Robert Winiarski. Helen is survived by her five children, Daniel Winiarski and his wife Nancy, Pauline Winiarski, Stephanie Kanderis and her husband Nick, Mary Normoyle, and Marcie Brennan, grandchildren, Christina, Daniel, James, Paul, Conrad, Nicholas, Alexander, Keith, Ryan, Hayley, Katie, Joseph and Renee and great grandchildren, Christian, Lauren, Daniel, Jonathan, Robert, Dylan, Giana, Taylor, Zachary, Jillian, Rebecca, Renata, Emma and Maddie and great great granddaughter, Breanna. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 9:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Helen’s memory to the Ocean County Meals on Wheels or Meridian Hospice Association.
