Helen L. Morris, age 101, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, NJ. Helen was born December 9, 1920 in North Carolina as the daughter of Bette and Berry Strickland. She was a longtime resident of Toms River. Helen retired from Engelhard Industries in East Newark, NJ. Mother of the late Linwood M. "Lenny" Capps, Helen is survived by her daughter Joyce DiGuglielmo; her daughter Dorothy Sharp (Kyle). Helen is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Helen will be laid to rest with her late son Lenny in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ.
