Born in Orange, she resided in Denville, Augusta and Toms River before settling in Jackson almost exactly 1 year ago.
Florence loved cats and dogs, Michael Buble, spending time at her summer home in Ocean Beach for the past 22 years, and boating. She worked as a secretary at a number of different establishments, but her true calling was her family. More than anything, Florence took great pride in raising her children and taking care of her family.
Surviving is her loving husband of 63 years, Russell B. Lindsay, Jr.; 3 sons: Fred and his wife Joan of New Egypt, Gary and his wife Lois of Blairstown, and Russell, III and his wife Barbara of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren; and a sister, Diane Kent and her husband William of Brick.
Friends may call at D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, on Sunday from 3-5PM. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4:30PM. Interment of Cremated remains will follow on Monday at 12PM at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
