Dorothy Margaret Pardini

LAKEWOOD – Dorothy "Dot" Margaret Pardini of Lakewood, N.J., formally of Neptune, N.J., died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at home with family by her side. The youngest of five children, Dorothy was born Oct. 8, 1919, to John and Anna Sieb in Yonkers, N.Y., where she graduated from Gorton High School and Butler Business School. She was a legal secretary in New York until 1947, when she married Bill Pardini and they split their time between Asbury Park and Miami. They settled in Neptune where they raised their daughters and where Dorothy continued to live until she moved to Leisure Village 16 years ago. She retired as a legal secretary from Blankenhorn and Ragan in Asbury Park.

Upon retirement, Dorothy traveled extensively with her beloved sisters Bettie and Helen, taking road trips around the states and cruises to other countries. Dorothy was active in her church from a young age and attended regularly. She enjoyed making things and was a talented seamstress, sewing outfits for herself and her young daughters, as well as their dolls. She loved to knit and crochet and in retirement was active in the Leisure Village craft group until arthritis claimed her hands. An avid bridge player throughout her life, Dorothy also enjoyed regular games with an OLV group. Until recently she looked forward to Sunday brunches with her friend Rosemary and monthly bridge luncheons at Woodlake Country Club.

Dorothy was predeceased by husband Bill and is survived by daughters Maggie Lubcke, Eatontown, and Patti Pardini, Lakewood, and granddaughter Jennifer Lubcke, Neptune.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 18, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9pm, at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.

Dorothy requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her memory to St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 135 Salmon St., Brick, NJ 08723 or OLV Foundation, 19 Buckingham Dr., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
