Dorothy A Dennehy

Dorothy A. Dennehy, age 80, of Lakewood, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in the Hospice of Union County facility in Monroe, NC. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ on July 17, 1932, and was a longtime resident of Middletown NJ, before relocating to the Four Seasons community in Lakewood, NJ. Mrs. Dennehy spent the last year in North Carolina. Dorothy was the mother of the late David and Barbara Dennehy and was the sister of the late Margaret Holovacko, Helen Biernacki and Pauline Hesterberg; she is survived by her children, Marybeth Dennehy and Michael Dennehy; 9 grandchildren and 1great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday in the St. Mary of The Lake Church, 43 Madison, Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will follow in the Bayview Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
