TOMS RIVER – Cindy Lee Fischer, 55, passed away Saturday while out celebrating with loved ones. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone who knew her, and could light up a room with her smile. She lived for spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and dancing to the Allman Brothers with her husband, Walter, her love of a lifetime. In her perfect world she would be surrounded by tie dye with her feet in the warm sand at the beach. In her own words, “It’s okay to miss me, but miss me with smiles, not tears.” We’re all smiling with you, Cindy, at every sunrise and sunset. We love you. Peace.
Cindy is survived by her father, George Bean, of Old Bridge, four brothers, her husband of 17 years, Walter Fischer; four children, James Petersen, Jessica Nolan(Bryan Nolan), Vanessa Paladino, and April Fischer; four grandchildren, and a large extended family.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-2PM at D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte. 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood. Memorial service to follow at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Popcorn Park Zoo. Those interested may also join us in celebrating Cindy by joining the team she created named “Swirled Peace” for the “Run or Dye” 5k race taking place April 13th, 2014 at Met Life stadium.
