Anthony Gerald Lettorale, age 80, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. Anthony was born in Dover, New Jersey. He was raised in Wharton, NJ, and later moved to the Poconos for over 30 years before moving to Toms River, 5 years ago. Anthony was a graduate of Morris Hills High School's class of 1961, He retired after a career with Hercules, and later worked as a self employed painter. Anthony was an avid Sportsman and enjoyed classic automobiles. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus in Stroudsburg, PA and a Volunteer Firefighter for the Marshall's Creek Fire Department. Anthony volunteered for over 28 years with the local food pantry. Anthony enjoyed search word puzzles, dining out, and spending time with his dear family and friends.
Son of the late Florence (Galante) and Anthony Lettorale; Anthony is survived by his wife of 34 years, Roni Joyce Santone; his children Christopher A. Lettorale (Amy); Anthony F. Lettorale; Melissa J. Santone; Jeffrey A. Santone (Rosa); Katie A. Santone; Vincent S. Santone (Erin); his siblings Samuel Lettorale (Kathy), Richard Lettorale (Virginia) and Donna Turner; his grandchildren Anthony Lettorale, II, Mallory Lettorale, Braden Lettorale, Emerson Santone and Brighton Santone. Anthony was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Lettorale and his sister Rosemary Thoresen.
Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Anthony's life will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 in the funeral home.
