Stephen Leslie Scott, born on January 31st, 1946, in Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Lois. Their 25 years of marriage were filled with joy, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Together, they embraced life with a spirit of adventure, always seeking new experiences, including riding motorcycles, and facing every challenge as a team.
Stephen’s life was one of exploration. Whether it was in his professional life or personal pursuits, he was never afraid to take risks and fully experience all that life had to offer. Though he ventured down many different paths, it was his work as a mortician in Fort Morgan and Denver that he held most dear. Stephen's compassion and dedication to his work helped countless families during their times of need, and his kind-hearted nature touched everyone he met. He believed in the importance of treating others with dignity and respect, and this value guided him throughout his life.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved son, Travis Matthew Scott, who tragically passed away in 2016. The loss of Travis left an enduring sadness in Stephen's heart, but he found strength in his family and his deep love for Lois, his daughter Tracey, and all those who held him dear.
Stephen is survived by his daughter, Tracey Scott, and his loving wife, Lois, who shared in a bond that was truly extraordinary. His passing leaves a profound hole in the hearts of his family and friends, but his legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew him.
