A private family service will be held to honor him.
On Friday June 13, at noon, we will have a memorial for Rick at the park in Heritage Square to celebrate his life. If you are so inclined and would care to share your stories and memories, please join us.
Rick has been the face of Wings of Eagles for almost 21 years. His wheelchair and ponytail only begin to describe the witty, funny, laughing guy that everyone seemed to know and love. He played his flutes, drums and shared his Native heritage with everyone.
Rick was the youngest son of Gene and Doris Farley. He lived in Aurora and attended schools in Aurora and Denver where he excelled in football and baseball. After school he joined the Air Force where he served until he was injured.
Rick enjoyed sports, travel, music, history and adventure. He loved skiing, fishing, scuba diving, skeet shooting, bowling, boating, flying and recently learned rock wall climbing and fencing…never the one to wait for someone else to figure it out or to tell him he couldn’t do it!!
Rick is survived by his wife, Judy; brothers Mike Farley, Pat Farley, and Albert Farley; daughters Renee Wallen and Christina Farley; step-son Shaun Marston; and grandson Hunter Wallen; sister-in-law Jean Hart; and brother-in-law John Hart (Cathy Hart.) We are all so blessed to have shared our lives with him.
We will miss him.
