Nicole was born at nearly midnight on August 4th, 1976 in Walnut Ck (almost the same day as her grandfather – Aug 5). She lived with her mom in Cottonwood, CA where Nicole grew up loving sports and riding her horses Hot Copy and Morning Glory. They later moved to Greenville, CA and Nicole graduated from Greenville HS class of 1994. She attended College of the Sisikous for 1 semester and then moved in with her mom and step-son Gary in Kiowa, CO. She worked in Telecom and in 1998, she briefly moved to Princeton, NJ, but came to find work at Level 3 Communications in 2004. She had a ferret named Tazman (after her nickname Tazmanian Devil) – who quickly gave way to her dogs Rex (a beagle) and Maddie (her cattledog) – More than anything she loved those dogs (and all animals really). She met Mike Jacoby in early 2005 while working at Level 3 and they shared their first kiss on Jan 26, 2005 at Mimi’s Café. While they had no formal marriage, they celebrated this day as their anniversary. After an off and on relationship, Nicole decided to move in with Mike in January 2010 and began her transformation from Telecom to Yoga and fitness. Mike would attend Nicole’s Yoga classed until his knees gave out, and Nicole would become Mike’s fashionista and fitness champion ever since. Nicole was and avid Motorcyle rider, golfer, and loved playing cribbage with Mike by the lake. Nicole and Mike would often be seen on dates about town, or walking around Sloan’s lake. They hosted poker and Fantasy football parties and celebrated their happiness with many friends and family members the years they had together. Nicole and Mike often travelled together and had a special place in Vail they particularly enjoyed. Their plans were cut short due to COVID, but they re-committed to each other by celebrating their 10 year engagement last Valentine’s Day (2/14/23) at her favorite hotel in Cherry Creek.
She will be fondly remembered for her stunning beauty, her kindness and patience and her playful personality. She often compared herself to her zodiac sign - LEO, and her style and fashion reflected that. Nicole and I called each other our person and only death would end our special love and connection.
I will miss you forever Nicole. You were my person and I loved you from our first kiss to our last. Goodbye
