Nancy Lee Tanner Taylor, age 86, passed away in Eastland, Utah, on June 10, 2024. She was born to LeRoy Mack Tanner and Betty Alice Barber in Boise, Idaho, on August 30, 1937. Nancy met and married Paul Taylor in 1958 while attending Brigham Young University. Nancy is survived by her husband Paul S. Taylor, her daughter Diane Romesha (Gary), son Wayne Taylor (Miriam Rowberry), John Taylor (Sally Daniels) and Paul S. Taylor II (Rebecca Mobley). She has 15 grandchildren: Layne Hodson, Melanie Broadhead, Ryan Taylor, Chris Taylor, Erin Elliott, Megan Rigdon, Kyle Taylor, Tanner Taylor, Bailey Taylor, Kelly St Laurent, Todd Taylor (dec.), Colvin Taylor, Emma Taylor and Jacob Taylor. At the time of her passing she had 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is survived by her two sisters Becky Beus, Jerry Astle, and sister-in-law Sandy Tanner. Her brothers, Jim Tanner and John Tanner, preceded her in death.
Nancy graduated from Boise High School and attended BYU where she received a BS degree in Home Economics with a teaching certificate. She was an exceptional seamstress, a cook who liked to experiment and create nutritious meals, and an outstanding homemaker who above all loved serving and ministering to others.
Nancy’s life was filled with travel. She lived in Grants New Mexico, Mina el Limon, Nicaragua, West Lebanon, New Hampshire, Guanajuato, Mexico, and several locations in Utah and Colorado. She served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The first was in the Greece Athens mission where she was assigned to Cairo, Egypt, for 11 months followed by an assignment to the Island of Cyprus for eight months. Her second mission was 18 months in the Church Administration Offices in Salt Lake City. While in Cypress she fell in love with the Chinese students she met, so she and Paul volunteered for the Marriot China Teaching program and were assigned to teach in Nanjing, China.

A funeral service for Nancy will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 610 Coors St, Golden, CO 80401. A visitation will occur from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 610 Coors St, Golden, CO 80401. A committal service will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses St, Golden, CO 80401.
