She was born Margaret Eleanor Irons March 23, 1922 in Trinidad, Las Animas, CO to William and Hazel (Conn) Irons, the 4th of 7 children. She grew up and attended schools in Trinidad.
She married Ervin Lawrence Lea July 18, 1943 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, NM. They made their home in Denver, CO. Ervin passed away April 24, 1998 in Denver. They had no children.
She was a wonderful seamstress and used to make all of her own cloths. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading a wide variety of topics. She was also a wonderful decorator. Her home was always immaculate. During her life she worked for Herbs Dependable Cleaners in Denver for several years. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Baptist Church in Denver, CO.
She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her beautiful smile. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her. Even in her later years when age started taking its toll, she kept her humor and her ever present smile. You never knew what she would come up with to make everyone laugh. She loved to have family and friends come to visit.
She is survived by 1 sister, Dorothy (Charles) Bradford of Loveland CO and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ervin, parents, William and Hazel Irons, sisters Lucille Van Arsdale and Bertha Heistuman, and brothers Earl Irons, Robert Irons and Russell Irons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov 3 @ 2:00 PM at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation - 6425 W Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO. Interment will be Friday, Nov 4 @ 10:00 AM at Ft Logan Cemetery - 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver CO
