Isaiah 25:8
Kyle Christian Wilson, age 33, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away suddenly on September 7, 2023 in Englewood, CO due to unforeseen health complications. We will never forget his gentle demeanor, laugh that brightened up his entire face, and immense love and pride for his children, Declan and Ella. They were and always will be the loves of his life.
Born on April 28, 1990, Kyle grew up in Littleton, CO and graduated from Columbine High School in 2009. From a young age, Kyle showed a love of tinkering which eventually developed into a career in metal fabrication and production. He also loved turning pieces of metal into works of art. Kyle was a natural athlete and excelled playing football, baseball and rugby throughout his elementary and high school years. He proudly stood up as a groomsman at each of his three brothers’ weddings, most recently at Caleb’s nuptials in June 2023. Kyle was lovingly chosen to be the godfather of his nephew, Cash Wilson. Snowboarding was a passion of his and Kyle spent many memorable days on the slopes in Breckenridge and Keystone with family and friends. He grew up camping, fly fishing and hunting, and especially loved fishing on the lakes with his grandparents and family while trolling in his grandpa's boat. Pheasant hunting and elk hunting with his dad and brothers were also some of his favorite adventures.
Kyle would tell you that his greatest achievement in life was his children. He was a wonderful, attentive father that adored his kids. Declan was born in April 2015 and Isabella followed shortly after in December 2016. Spending time with them was Kyle’s ultimate happy place with favorite memories of birthday celebrations, holidays, trips to the zoo, the Butterfly Pavilion, adventures and camping with his parents and spending time with Declan and Ella at his parent’s home in the mountains. Reminiscing through photos he posted of Declan and Ella on his social media accounts, he used the hashtag, #TheBestThingAboutMeIsYou. Kyle’s spirit will always live within the hearts of his children, encapsulated by a fond quote from Winnie the Pooh, “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”
He is survived by his two children, Declan Alexander (8) and Isabella Christine (6); his parents, Barry and Sharon Wilson of Como, CO; brothers, Benjamin (Erin) Wilson of Parker, CO, Justin (Heidi) Wilson of Denver, CO, and Caleb (Mikaela) Wilson of Denver, CO; nephews, Jack, Beau, Cash, Jude and Blaise; grandfather, Michael Kostic; aunts and uncles, Diane and Michael Gardiner, Trish Sims, Nancy and Shawn Khankan, Ken and Michelle Kostic, Michelle and Dave Walker; cousins, Shane (Lisa) Sims, Kendra (Greg) Beal, Shaun Khankan, Jessica Kostic and Tyler Kostic. Kyle will also be greatly missed by many other loving family and friends including Crystal, Ryder, Rory and Brody. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Charlotte Kostic and Janice Cooler, and uncle, Steve Sims.
Services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church, 9444 Eagle Cliff Road Conifer, CO 80433. A Rosary will be said for Kyle at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. At the conclusion of Mass, a light reception will be held at Our Lady of the Pines. “My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”
Psalm 73:26
“So it will be with the resurrection of the dead.
The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;
it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;
it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.”
1 Corinthians 15: 42-45
