Kelley Jo Meyer was born in San Marcos, Texas, on July 12, 1981. She died on August 18, 2022 in a hospital in Lakewood, Colorado attended by her mother and sister.
Kelley graduated high school in Bastrop, Texas, and was most recently self- employed in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Kelley had an independent spirit and enjoyed nature, rafting, and snow sports. She loved music and was proficient at French horn and piano. She possessed a special love for animals and was known to bring strays and rejects home to care for them. Her friends and family knew her as one of the most compassionate, giving, and forgiving people they knew.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Deborah Meyer of Bryan, Texas; sister Amy Persyn and her husband Andrew of College Station, Texas; brother Brent Meyer and his wife Jen and son Tyler of Round Rock, Texas; long-term boyfriend Robby Turk of Idaho Springs, Colorado; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Colorado.
Kelley is preceded in death by her father Robert Franklin Meyer; maternal grandparents Julius and Josephine Skrivanek, and paternal grandparents Frank and Blanche Meyer; and one uncle Richard Meyer.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
