John Michael Power

John Michael "Mike" Power, born on September 26, 1964, passed away peacefully in Colorado on October 23, 2024. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Deborah Power; stepfather, Ben Maestas; and brother-in-law, Hugo Flores.

Mike is survived by his two cherished daughters, Brittany Jeffress (Adam) and Kelsey Power (Allen), along with his grandson, Jordan Garcia Power, and granddaughter, Camdyn Eliza Jeffress. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Priscilla Maestas, and his siblings: Barbara Flores, Kenny Power, Douglas Power and Carissa Maestas; Mike's loyal pup, Bella, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Known for his warm heart and welcoming nature, Mike never met a stranger and greeted everyone with open arms and a nonjudgmental spirit. He embraced life with simplicity. He found joy in his daily rituals, enjoying coffee and cigarettes while making frequent trips to Home Depot. When it was time to unwind, you could find him in his car, jamming to classic R&B tunes, relishing in the sound of his exceptional speakers.

A celebration of life will be held in Mike's honor on November 9th at 12:30 PM at Forefront Church, located at 2112 S. Patton Ct., Denver, CO 80219, with a reception to follow. As a passionate sports fan, we invite all attendees to wear their best sports gear, particularly anything representing the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Colorado Buffaloes.

Mike's spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and love for family and friends.
