Mano was born on December 1st, 1933, in Enumclaw, WA, the 7th of 12 children of William and L’Nor Moriarty.
At the age of 19, she relocated to Denver, CO where she became a nanny for a short amount of time. In 1953, she met and married Vito Pugliese, together they raised their 4 children, Rod, Joe, Debbie, and Michael, in the heart of North Denver.
Mano held many positions over the years but became an accountant for most of her working career. However, her most infamous ‘career choice’ was when she and her husband (Bob Kiddie) started their own trucking transportation business. It is from here that her love and passion for travel was born. Later in life she joined a senior group called, LIFT, where she was able to travel around the world with some of her greatest friends. Some of her favorite trips with friends and family included, Branson, MO, Alaskan Cruise, Italy, Ireland, Panama Canal, Spain, Tahiti, and the Caribbean.
When she wasn’t traveling you could often find her indulging in some of her favorite activities, such as, bingo, video poker, fishing, cooking pasta or her amazing chicken and dumplings, or simply spending quality time at Halcyon Salon, where she befriended her stylist, Lauren.
Above all else, nothing meant more to Mano than her expansive family. She devoted her life to others and to her loved ones, and ‘loved more’ than anyone could ever love.
Mano is survived by two of her children, Debbie (David) of Erie, CO, Michael of Wheat Ridge, CO, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout CO, CA, and AZ, OR, TX and the UK.
In the words of Mano herself, “It is not goodbye, but rather, see you soon” LOVE YOU MORE!
Mano’s Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 15th at 3p.m. at Depot at Five Parks, 13810 W. 85th Dr. Arvada, CO. This will be an open house format from 3-6 p.m with a formal celebration tribute at 4 p.m.
