Herman was born and raised in West Denver. He graduated from West High School, and worked for many years at the City and County Building. Herman loved all things Denver, including the Broncos and Rockies. He was an active member of the Lions Club in both West Denver and North Denver. He was also a church member at Bethel Presbyterian Church in West Denver since birth.
Herman had a learning disability, but that didn't stop him from having as much fun as possible. He loved music, and always said that Elvis was born on Herman's birthday, not the other way around. He touched many people around him with his gentle spirit and fun nature.
Herman is preceded in death by his parents, Hilario and Adella; siblings, John, Alice, Rose, James, Ernest, Lydia and Joe. He is survived by his sister, Grace; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
A funeral service for Herman will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Runyan-Stevenson, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226.
Herman will be laid to rest in Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
A reception will follow the burial at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center at 38th and Kipling.
