Gwendolyn Wilson was a beloved daughter, sister, talented pastry chef, veteran, and friend. She was born in Denver, CO on February 1, 1954 to William Wilson and Lillian Rogers. Gwendolyn was one of 6 children. She was a Denver Native all of her life, graduating from North High School. Gwendolyn entered the United States Air Force in 1982, leaving in 1989 as a SSG. Gwendolyn and family were proud of her veteran status.
Gwendolyn was also a very talented pastry chef. She loved creating sweets and treats to share with her family and friends. When she was released from Active Duty with the Air Force, she took her opportunity to cultivate her talent one step further and attended Johnson and Wales University. Family and friends will miss her pastry chef talents.
Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson and Lillian Rogers; and brothers, Tyrone Rogers, Jan Rogers and Leonard Wilson. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters, Carolyn Rogers and Linda Wilson; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Gwendolyn passed away on February 9, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. She was 69 years old.
A graveside service for Gwendolyn will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236, Committal Shelter B.
