Erin transitioned peacefully from this world on February 1, 2024, after a six-year valiant battle with breast cancer. Erin was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 7, 1976, though she spent most of her life in Colorado. She will be remembered by her legacy of love, tenacity, humor and gentle caring for others.
Erin will continue to be remembered by her husband and love of her life, James Le Bel, married September 30, 2006. She treasured and lived for her amazing daughters Ashlin Eden (13) and Caitlin McKenna (11). She is also survived by parents Kathleen Huskins, and Terry Crimmins (Nancy); mother-in-law Eleanor Le Bel; dear sister Shannon Briese (Brandon) and siblings David Hargadine (Suzie), Nick Medina (Jen), Kristen (Medina) Herrmann (Eric),and Casey Medina.
Erin lived a full and beautiful life. After graduating from Rangeview High School, she obtained her nursing degree from The Community College of Denver. She took pride in serving her community. Erin excelled as a nurse at Denver Health and was most in her element in the fast paced and challenging environment of their reputable Emergency Department. During her time there she earned several awards, most notably the Nightingale award for compassionate nursing. She and her sister Shannon formed a non-profit, Malas for Tatas, to help others heal through breast cancer treatment. Erin is remembered for welcoming, loving, and accepting others, for her love of music, nature, travel, art and literature, and for her signature side eye. Her friends from all decades of her life -- grade school to her years at Denver Health -- meant everything to her.
Erin loved her family. She adored her nieces and nephew, Raina, Isabella, Hazel, and Christian. Erin treasured and respected her many aunts, uncles and cousins. She loved her numerous pets, Rosa, Lola, Mojo and Fritz to name a few.
Erin is preceded in death by her twin sister, Lisa; grandparents Edward and Marjorie Crimmins and Daniel and Phyllis Huskins.
Donations may be made in Erin's name to the charity of your choice in place of sending flowers.
A celebration of Erin's amazing life will be held on Saturday, April 27th. More details will be announced by the family soon.
