He was born to Aurelio Garcia, Jr. and Aurelia Garcia on November 22, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, where he grew up in the Westwood community with his four siblings: Patrick Garcia, Audrey Garcia, Able Garcia, and Connie Moore. Eloy joins his father, Aurelio Garcia Jr., and his siblings Patrick Garcia, Able Garcia, and Connie Moore in heaven. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Godchildren.
Eloy was a beloved Husband to Geralyn P. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denver.
Eloy was an incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent man who generously shared his wisdom and devoted his time to helping others through conversation or in times of need. He was deeply passionate about cooking amazing dishes, especially Mexican food, and working on vehicles. When he was unable to help physically, he would be outside, walking us through our car troubles and offering his expertise. Also, his love for Denver sports teams was unwavering; whether it was cheering for the Broncos, Nuggets, or Avalanche, his spirit of fandom was highly influenced.
In his early years, Eloy was in the United States Navy, USS Vulcan AR-5. He later worked at Associated Grocers and was a Facility Manager for the Denver Public Schools for 32 years. He later worked for Argus at the Ball Arena, where he experienced many sports and concert events. He enjoyed it so much!
His impact on our lives will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love him. Eloy will always be remembered for his strength, fighting spirit, and bravery.
