Dolores M. Jimenez, 87, of Lakewood, CO passed away October 30, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born to late Antonio and Luz Natera on February 6, 1935, in Oxnard, CA. She married the late Alfredo Jimenez in 1956, and they lived in Los Angeles, CA for a short time before relocating to Pueblo, CO in 1957 and eventually moving to Lakewood, CO in 1968.
Dolores is survived by her 7 children: Eric Jimenez, of Pueblo, CO; Keith Jimenez, of Lakewood, CO; Freda Welch of Arvada, CO; Randy Jimenez of Lakewood, CO; April McQuain of Lakewood, CO; Alfredo Jimenez II of Brighton, CO and Leif Jimenez of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfredo Jimenez in 1999.
Dolores was an accomplished loving mother to so many. She loved hosting family gatherings, listening to music, caring for her pets, reading books, tending to her house plants, pulling the handle back on the slot machines, telling stories of her childhood and was as avid sports fan. Dolores was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind many beautiful memories.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest at 12:00 p.m. at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Research Hospital.
