Dianna was born December 31, 1946 in Denver, CO. She grew up in Denver and attended St. Vincent de Paul grade school and graduated from St. Francis de Sales high school. She briefly attended Colorado St. University and later attended Arapahoe Community College and Regis University.
Dianna was passionate about her family, her career and her dogs. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years, but returned to the workforce when her children were in grade school. She worked as a legal secretary and earned her paralegal certificate. After her children were out of the house, she continued to work full-time along with completing her undergraduate degree. In 1995, she began a 20+ year career in the General Counsel's office at Western Union. She rose to the level of Director and was the inventor on seven U.S. Patent applications.
Dianna loved spending time with her grandchildren, grand nieces, and her two dogs - Tia and Kona. She was always a huge sports fan and loved talking about the Broncos with her grandson Zach. After overseeing a house of all boys, she was delighted at the arrival of her granddaughter Abby and countless hours of art projects and cooking.
Dianna also supported many charities and was a member of P.E.O. - a philanthropic organization of women "helping women reach for the stars." In addition, she served on the Paralegal Advisory Board at Arapahoe Community College.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alice Popish. She is survived by her two sons; Chris (Michele) and Patrick, her grandchildren; Zachary and Abigail Lyons and Nathan Kathol, siblings; Frank (Bridget) Popish and Judith (George) Wingfield.
