Bonnie Lee Pearson, 94, of Lakewood passed away on October 19, 2022. Bonnie was born in Larned, Kansas to Lena and Virgil Lehr on August 11, 1928. She attended high school in Hutchinson, Kansas where she met the love of her life, Winfield (Zeke). They were married right after college graduation until Zeke passed away in 2011.
Bonnie loved to teach. She spent many years at Greenwood Village Montessori School as a teacher.. When she wasn't teaching and inspiring young minds she would read, play the piano herself, and sing, either on her own or with the Colortones. She was an active member for several years of Light Of The World Catholic Church. While she was a resident at Maplewood Care Center she would make the staff laugh, attend all the activities, and continued to grow her faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the staff at Mapleton.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary; her husband, Winfield; son, Stan; and granddaughter, Amanda. She is survived by her beloved children, Beth (Roy), George, and Eric (Norma); grandchildren, Zebulon, Shannon, Marissa, Jared, Erica, and Jay; 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and her beloved cousin, Cherylloy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 1PM at Southwest Community Church in Lakewood. A small reception will follow.
Bonnie will be laid to rest in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado, At a later date.
