July 6, 1935 – October 1, 2022
Beverly (87) was born on July 6, 1935 and passed on October 1, 2022 at Collier Hospice Center at Lutheran in Wheat Ridge, Colorado after an unexpected illness. She will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery with her beloved husband, Bob.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Biesemeier; her parents Cloyd and Mabel McAdam; siblings Betty, Burdette, Dwain, Darlene, and grandson Robert.
Bev grew up in a farmhouse built by her father, located in northeastern Colorado’s Sedgwick county near Venango, NE during the great depression and attended a one-room schoolhouse from kindergarten to 8th grade then graduated from Venango High School.
She came to Denver after graduation to attend Central Business School and worked at Columbia Pictures. Denver is where she met Bob Biesemeier and the two were married in 1956. They settled in west Denver, had four children and happily resided there for 63 years.
Bev was a busy mom! She was a great cook, hosted large family gatherings, made fun birthday cakes, delicious holiday meals, steak dinners, canned homemade pickles and jams. Bev was a Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA president, neighborhood childcare provider, chauffer for her kids to multiple functions for school, sports, church, and the family delivered the Denver Post newspaper for 11 years. She volunteered at the Lakewood United Methodist church every month for many years. Bev went to work in 1974 in the book-binding department for the Denver Public Library and retired in 1994.
Bev was also a huge supporter of Cure SMA, in honor of two grandchildren who are afflicted with the neuromuscular disease (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). She attended over 18 Cure SMA conferences around the country, donated funds and assisted at most every local SMA event. On any given day, you could find Beverly wearing a Cure SMA T-shirt 😊
Beverly is survived by her sister Arliene; sons Alan, Ryan (his wife Shirley), daughters Kristi (husband Garth) and Julie (husband Brian); nine grandchildren and their spouses Jason, Brad (wife Kat), Megan, Anthony (wife Alisha), Katie, Cody, Jamie and Troy; and 4 ½ great grandchildren Diego, Dasia, Genevieve, Rhonda plus one on-the-way; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
We feel grateful and truly blessed for all the years we had with her for she was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Bev’s wishes for contributions be made in her memory to Cure SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), 925 Busse Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 or https://diy-curesma.donordrive.com/campaign/BevBies
