Betty Louise Hawley, age 92, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Betty was born May 23, 1929 in Bisbee, Arizona to parents, Henry and Mary Bennett. She met Carl Hawley, fell in love, and they were married until Carl passed away. She worked for the Driver's License Bureau for many years in Denver.
Outside of being a wife and driver's license tester, Betty had another important job: Mom and Grandma. She loved to garden and was at one point in time an artist. She worked hard at being an awesome grandma, and many times could be found watching her grandchildren, all three generations. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her son, James D.; grandchildren, Neal P. and Jaime D.; sister, Barbara; 6 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl; her daughter, Carla J.; and her great-grandson, Alexander.
A visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, in Lakewood. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 1:00 PM. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Tower of Memories.
