In loving memory of Will Gaston, a man who was born to embrace life and party with unbridled joy. Will made his grand entrance into the world on May 27, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of William Robert Gaston and Richea Brown. The family soon embarked on a new chapter in Houston, where Will's vibrant journey unfolded.
Educated at Memorial High School and later earning a degree in accounting from The University of Houston, Will's academic pursuits were merely the prelude to a life devoted to the art of celebration. In his mid-30s, Will's adventurous spirit led him to Austin, Texas, where he carved a unique path as a custom home and pool builder, showcasing his true artistry in design.
For Will, work was not a means to an end; rather, it was the platform from which he launched into a world of exhilarating experiences. A consummate athlete, Will fearlessly conquered the waters as a water skier, snow skier, wakeboarder, wakesurfer, surfer, sailor, and even earned the title of "Rocket Man Skier."
A true Gaston in every sense, Will was known for his adventurous soul, unwavering confidence, outspoken opinions, and spontaneous nature. Over the years, he effortlessly amassed a multitude of dear friends who were drawn to him like a magnet. Will's friends became an extension of his family, sharing in his love for travel, sailing, and, of course, the art of a good party.
Will leaves behind a legacy of joy, bringing people together in the spirit of celebration. Preceded in death by his father, William Robert Gaston, Will is survived by his mother, Richea Brown, and sisters Angela Burchette with her husband Danny Burchette, and Richea Powell with her husband Joe Powell. His nieces and nephews, Cole Gaston, Crissy Hebert, Kate Powell, and Joey Powell, carry forward the spirit of their beloved uncle.
The world will miss Will's infectious smile and laughter, but let us not mourn his passing. Instead, let us honor his memory by gathering to party and celebrate the vibrant life he lived. Will Gaston lived with no regrets, leaving us with a legacy of joy and a reminder to embrace each moment with the same exuberance that defined his remarkable life.
Kindly reach out to his family and friends to join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 4:00 pm in Houston.
