Terry Cox

Terry Marrs Cox, 74 of Cedar Park passed away on April 28, 2023. Terry was born on August 13, 1948 to Tyrus and Melba Cox in Ballinger, Texas. Terry attended O'Henry middle school and graduated from Austin high school.

Terry married Charlotte Ann Hejl in October of 1969 and went to work to help Charlotte pursue her teaching degree. In 1971, they had their first son, Jon, and bought their first home in Shenandoah, Cedar Park. In October of 1977, Justin entered the world. Terry went on to be a surveyor for Haynie and Kohlman for many years before he was hired by the City of Round Rock as a public works inspector. He finished up his career back in surveying for Hejl, Lee, and Assoc. Everyone will remember Terry as a very thoughtful and kind person. Also, he had a deep passion for the outdoors; his love for fishing and hunting was passed on to anyone that came around him. Many weekends were spent either at the lake or hunting. Watching his children play sports was also something he enjoyed.

Terry is survived by his sons, Jon and Justin; his grandchildren: Xulani, Tyler, and Travis; brother-in-laws, Ron Helton and Dan Hejl; sister-in-law, Claudette Reese; cousins, Margaret Roach, Patti Weeks, Gayle Hirsch, Clyde Kent Moore, Ray Moore, and Rhonda Greenwood; nephews, Scott Helton, Paul Helton, Jason Reese, and Paul Hejl; nieces, Melinda Gallagher, Michelle Reese, Jennifer Rodriguez, and Rachel Roedl.
