Randy was born on October 9, 1943 to Roland and Muriel Threadgill in San Antonio, Texas. After Randy graduated from Denison High School in 1962 he went on to study Economics at The University of Texas and went on to complete his Masters in Economics.
In 1965, Randy met Kay Bartlett in Economics class at UT. They were married June18th, 1966. Randy and Kay went on to have 2 children, Tracy and Brian.
Randy loved to fish, hunt, and anything related to The University of Texas but his favorite activity was spending time with his family. Every summer he would take his family on amazing trips around the world, creating lifetime memories.
Randy was predecease by his parents, Roland and Muriel Threadgill and close friend, Berna Hawkins. He is survived by his wife, Kay, and his children Tracy Barba (Fausto Barba), Brian Threadgill (Julie Threadgill) and his grandchildren Jesse Barba, David Barba, Sydney Threadgill, his brothers Michael Threadgill, (Jeanie Threadgill) , Marshall Threadgill and sister Jennie Perot (Eddie Perot).
Services will be held at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 411 Ranch Road 620 Lakeway, Texas 78734, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation (give.michaeljfox.org), a Parkinson’s organization Randy felt strongly about.
