Megan delighted in being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, sharing her love and light with all who were lucky enough to have her in their lives. She was known for her beautiful smile and wonderful laugh. Her Lake Travis ISD teachers, her work colleagues, and even strangers in line always commented on that bright smile of hers.
All her life, Megan was blessed with the ability to find joy in small things, celebrating those simple moments so many of us take for granted. Megan’s family enjoyed her daily contributions to their group chats: her appreciation for a beautiful sunrise as she walked her kids to school, her giddy excitement over the latest bit of Taylor Swift news, her pride in successfully trying a new recipe for that night’s dinner. Megan had the gift of a cheerful disposition, and she will always be cherished for her sweet spirit and loving personality.
Megan will be forever missed by her beloved husband, Jean-Luc Wade; her young children, Caroline and Jonah; her parents, Steve and Tracy Kriese; her siblings, Aidan and Karen; her grandmother, Rita Barker; her grandparents, Thomas and Sonoko Duvalis; her parents-in-law, Kip and Sandra Wade and Veronique Wade; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her grandmother Brenda Joyce Kriese and grandfather Harold Barker preceded her in death.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teams of nurses and doctors at Methodist Hospital and University Hospital in San Antonio for their tender care of Megan during her days in ICU.
A celebration of Megan’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway, Texas.
