Linda Hull Goodwin

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob), and her parents, Alva and Nita Hull. She is survived by her children Charles Goodwin (wife Triss) and Susan Oshana (husband Rob), and her grandsons Sam Oshana, Noah Oshana, and Bradley Goodwin. Linda is also survived by her brothers David Hull of Queens Creek, Arizona and Carroll Hull of New Braunfels, Texas.

Linda was born on April 15, 1938 in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Floydada High School in 1956 and Baylor University in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. Linda taught home economics for over 35 years at Sharyland and McAllen High Schools, and she was named an Outstanding Leader in Secondary and Elementary Education in 1976. Linda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen and taught Sunday school there for many years. Linda was also one of the charter members of the McAllen chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

After retirement, Linda and Bob moved to Lakeway in 2009. Linda enjoyed being an active member of Lakeway Church, the Lakeway Garden Club, and the Lakeway Women’s Club.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on May 22nd at the Lakeway Church. Reverend Brent Graham will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Linda’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Lakeway Church or the American Cancer Society.
