Josie Louise Campbell, 79 years old, passed away at St. David’s South Austin hospital on Monday, October 10, 2022 with her two children by her side. Josie was born on November 25, 1942 in McKinney, TX to Roy and Beatrice Pruett. She grew up in Collin County, TX and in 1961, she graduated from Allen High School.
Josie married Maxie Campbell on November 13, 1966. Josie and Maxie bought a home in Arlington, TX where they raised their two children, Timothy and Shea. Josie spent many years as a stay at home mom and also helped Maxie manage his landscaping business.
Josie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and her faith played an important role in her life.
Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie. She is survived by her two children, two step-children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Josie was held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bee Cave, TX. On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Josie was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Maxie, in Allen, TX.
