Jeri Sue Adams

Jeri Sue Adams, 77, passed from this life on June 21, 2017, at her home in Austin, TX. She was born February 6, 1940, in Greenfield, TN and grew up in Detroit, MI. After graduating high school, she worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines. She went on to build a successful 17-year career as a legal secretary for Hughes & Luce in Dallas, TX. Thereafter, she and her husband, Glen, resided in southern California from 1996-2016 and developed numerous cherished friendships.

Jeri delighted in music and dancing. She greatly enjoyed attending the ballet and sharing her love of it with friends and family. Jeri was also an accomplished bridge player. She had a passion for the game, and her keen mind and dedication to excelling at it allowed her to earn the status of Gold Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. Jeri will be remembered most, however, for how she valued her friends and treasured her grandchildren.

Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, William Ethridge and Julia (Pentecost) Argo and her precious children, Robert Todd Allen and Connie Lynn Allen.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, (Joseph) Glen Adams; her brother William (Bill) Argo and wife, Sheryl, of Kalamazoo, MI; nieces, Shawn French (Stacy), of Kalamazoo, MI; Julie Hart (Denny) of Schoolcraft, MI, and their families; her step-daughters, Kimberly Sandman (Chris), of Marble Falls; Kathryn Vaughn (Earl), of Cedar Park; and Melissa Adams, of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Grant and Jeremy (Sandman), and Emma and Adam (Vaughn).

She also leaves dear cousins and cherished friends, including her "sister," Toni Williams (Mickey), of Horseshoe Bay, and her "nieces," Susan Gonzales (Zane) of Austin, and Catherine McEachern (D.C.) of Denver, CO, and their families.
