James Daniel Peters passed away at the age of 61 in Austin, Texas on April 4, 2023. He was born on November 1, 1961, in Harlingen, Texas.

Dan is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 38 years, his father Daniel Peters and his mother Alice Allen. He is also survived by his sister Belinda Usry, uncle Don Peters, and many loving family members.

He is reunited in Heaven with his son Kyle Daniel Peters, and his mother and father-in-law Fern and Richard Ovenden, among others.

Dan was a beloved father and family man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on all of Kyle’s bikes and motorcycles.

Following a car accident, Dan had a wonderful and devoted team of therapists who loved and cared for him. The family will be eternally grateful to these remarkable individuals.

A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas. A reception following the service will take place at the family home.
