He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elsie Murdock, two sisters, Sandra Knight and Martha Murdock, and one brother, Clifford Murdock. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hyatt Murdock, his son, James Caywood Murdock III (Iveth) of Sarasota, Florida, his daughters both from Spicewood, Texas, Ashley Ann Murdock and Melissa Kathleen Hopkins (Clint). He has two granddaughters, Isabella Grace Murdock and Madison Lynn Hopkins, he will always be their Lava Monster. He has two sisters, Deborah Richards (Tom) of Grand Ridge, Florida and Sarah Murdock (Steve Hawkins) of Hayes, Virginia and one brother, Raymond Murdock (Sharlene) of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived also by numerous nieces, nephews and, great nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. at Spicewood Baptist Church, 7903 Co. Rd. 404, Spicewood, TX.
