Elaine is survived by her husband, Frank, her children, Carol Hawkins and Sharon Rodgers (husband Brett), her grandchildren, Cassie Elbel, Eric Hawkins and Summer and Sydney Rodgers. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Rebekah, Ben, Zach and Christopher Elbel.
Elaine was born on June 5, 1936 in Dallas, Texas, to Thomas and Vista Brandenburg. She married Frank Strickland on December 21, 1957. Elaine and Frank recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Elaine was active in fundraising, volunteering at her church library, teaching Sunday School, volunteering at The Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi and serving her community. She loved her friends, reading, music and most of all, God and family.
