She was born Donna “No-Middle-Name” Williams in 1958 in Granbury, Texas, to parents Rozelle and John Williams.
In 1980 she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Education with a major in Math. It was there that she met her husband, Michael Wahl, in Calculus I -- she always said it was the only thing they got out of Calculus. They married in 1981 at the University United Methodist Church on the UT campus.
Donna worked as a dedicated educator in the Texas public school system for 40 years before retiring in 2020. Even though she taught thousands of students, she had a special ability to remember them by name, even years later. She loved her students as her own, and often bragged about their successes later in life.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter and son-in-law Meredith and Colin Lymer, son and daughter-in-law Jordon and Katelyn Wahl, and her grandson Keegan. In addition to her children, she is mourned by her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Angela Williams, and their children, Leah and Zach.
During her retirement, she traveled to Hawaii to celebrate her 40th wedding anniversary with her husband, spent countless hours doting on her grandchild, and enjoyed all of the amazing restaurants Austin has to offer.
