Cynthia Maher Rondini, 54, of Austin, Texas died Saturday evening, September 21, 2019 in Austin, Texas. Cindy was a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M University where she studied business and majored in marketing. She was a 1989 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she spent a semester studying at The London School of Economics and she earned an MBA. While at Notre Dame, she met her future husband Mike and they were married in November 1990. Until her death, Cindy was the Director of Operations/Chief of Staff for Cognitive Scale, which she considered to be her ideal position. Previously she worked in the Watson group at IBM.
Cindy was a tireless advocate supporting women in business, as well as a mentor for many young people interested in careers in business. She never hesitated to give her full support and time wherever she could. Cindy’s caring extended beyond the business world and would always step in to help anyone in need.
Cindy will be deeply missed by her husband Mike, daughter Samantha, a student at the University of Washington, parents John and Beth Maher, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, co-workers and devoted pet dogs. Cindy was preceded in death by her daughter Megan.
A public memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish funeral home located at 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, Texas. At a later date, Cindy's ashes will be scattered privately by family members in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made in Cindy's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org). It was Cindy’s sincere hope that a cure for pancreatic cancer can be found.
