Carol Middleton Dallas passed away peacefully in her sleep, Sunday morning August 14, 2022. She was born on June 26, 1932 in Lubbock, TX., and had just celebrated her 90th birthday. Carol enjoyed a long, fruitful life and as her husband Gerald recounts, they had a full life and enjoyed many things together. Carol is preceded in death by her loving parents Raleigh and Pauline Middleton. She had three brothers that have previously passed on Roy, James, and Tommy Middleton. She is predeceased by her son Daniel (Danny) Shaun Dallas.
Carol Middleton was married to Gerald Dallas Col. USAF/ Ret on August 17, 1954, which means they were married nearly 68 years. Her surviving children are Michel (Mike) Dale (wife Libbie), Dennis Lee, and Diane Dallas Turner. She loved her 4 grandchildren, Zachary (Zach) Michel Dallas (wife Ana Javed), Alexander (Alex) Eli Dallas, Kaitlynn (Kaity) Tara Dallas (husband Christian Smith), and Dallas Justin Turner.
Carol graduated from Texas Tech University majoring in Home Economics. She taught home economics in her early years of marriage. Throughout her life, she enjoyed doing a variety of jobs such as being a teacher, substitute teacher, PTA President, Cub Scout Leader, and was always volunteering with many other activities to help her children. She was a wonderful mother, loved to study the Bible, baking, sewing and many other crafts.
Carol battled through years of living with Parkinson’s disease and is finally able to feel relief from the physical restrictions that disease had over her body the last several years. The family would like to thank Generations Hospice Care for their loving support and care. Also, a big thank you to mom’s caregivers over the past years, Charlynn, Tammi, Olga, Mary and Holli, your generous love and care were invaluable. You all have a heart of gold for treating Carol with dignity and respect to be able to enjoy such a rich life, full of blessings. Carol will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
