Our wonderful son Adam Porter left this world October 20th and is now in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Adam was born at Seton Hospital in Austin TX February 28th 2001 and was a source of great joy for his parents Anne and Stephen Porter. He was welcomed into this world by his sister Ashley who became one of his closest companions. A brother and sister were never so beloved to each other and this was something their mother and father always cherished. Adam attended Brentwood Christian School for a portion of elementary school and made great friends there some of whom would be lifelong brothers and who will miss him terribly. Later he went to Sterling Classical School where he excelled as President of the National Junior Honor Society and as a member of The National Honor Society when he transitioned to High School. At Sterling he again was loved for his pure heart and willingness to welcome all as his friend. He loved to play on the basketball team and was an accomplished writer showing immense promise. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Ernest Markle whose death Adam mourned and who was loved by him. His Grandparents, Jim and Betty Porter and Deanna Markle loved him and are so happy to have had the chance to experience his amazing love. They look forward to a time of God's choosing where they will be reunited with him. His Aunts and Uncles, Taylor and Debbie Markle, Jim and Renee Markle, Dave Markle, and Whitney Porter were devoted to him and he loved them all so very much. He is also survived by numerous cousins who will remember his kindness and love throughout their lives.
Please pray for Adam and his family as they struggle to adjust to his new place in Heaven and do know that this was truly a special boy who changed everyone who knew him. We will all be better people as he has shown us how God wants us to love each other. Adam also loved animals and his dog Bailey has welcomed him to Heaven and is by his side now. On earth his dogs Buddy, Bella and Piper try to understand where has gone. Please in lieu of flowers make contributions to Austin Pets Alive as Adam would love to know that he is still helping the world be a better place by helping animals live.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 , at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 Ranch Road 620 South.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Hill Country Bible Church, 12124 RR 620 North.
