Warren Burnett, known to friends as “Wally” passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 71, 9 days shy of his 72nd birthday. A native of Suffern, New York, Wally attended Rockland Community College and became a police officer with the Town of Ramapo for 20 years. After retiring from the Town of Ramapo police force, Wally moved with his wife and two children to Boynton Beach, Florida, in 1992. Wally also became a police officer and a fireman for the community of Ocean Ridge, Florida. He retired from Ocean Ridge after 14 years of service. Wally enjoyed music and played the bass guitar, but his true love was his children and watching them excel in their sports and activities. He was a weightlifter and competed in the International Police Olympics where he medaled in several events. Wally is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna (nee Consiglio), son Brian and daughter Kelly.
A celebration of Wally’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 27, at the Dorsey – E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Warren Burnett can be made to University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
