Violeta C Murillo passed away after a brief illness on February 20, 2020 at age of 91 years. She was born on September 10, 1929 to Fausto Hanna and Avelina Alvarado in Guayaquil Ecuador.Violeta enjoyed many pursuits in her life such as traveling and serving her community through her love of God. Violeta will be lovingly remembered by her children as a strong and godly woman and loving mother. She is preceded in death by her parents Fausto Hanna and Avelina Alvarado, her husband of 38 years Cristóbal B. Murillo her sisters: Amada Campoverde, Elvira Tejada, Olga Hanna and Laura Utreras. Violeta will also join her daughter Violeta Gómez, her son Roberto Murillo, son-in-law Thomas G Scott, grandson Víctor Hugo Alvarez and great great granddaughter Neveah Clark. Violeta is survived by her daughters Greta Canales of Wichita Falls Texas, Yvonne E. Scott of Boynton Beach, Florida,and Rocio Carranza of Wellington, Florida, her sons Cristóbal Murillo of Palms Springs, Florida and Manuel Murillo of Bronx, New York. Sons-in-law Natividad Canales of Wichita Falls, Texas, Freddy Carranza of Wellington, Florida, daughters-in-law Leyla Murillo of Palm Springs, Florida and Cristobalina Murillo of Bronx New York. Violeta will also be fondly remembered by her Granddaughters: Mónica (Charles) Lavallete, Yvonne (Dennis) Smith, Paola Murillo, Lydia King, Leyla (George) García, Jessica (Eric) Myers, Natalie (Ricardo)Villamar, Kristen Murillo, Sue-Jaime Murillo, Billy Jean Murillo, Cindy Murillo and Amanda Gomez. Grandsons Gino (Lisa)Alvarez, Kleber Ureta, Cristian Murillo,Iván (Avia) Murillo, Danny Carranza, David Carranza, Christopher Murillo, Jason Gomez and Robert Murillo.Violeta is also survived by her sisters Rosa Almodóvar, María de Cabrera, and Edita de Hungria. Violeta was blessed and survived by her 27 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Violeta will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends whom she kept close to her heart.
A Memorial Service in memory of Violeta will be held Saturday March 7, 2020 at noon at the Dorsey – E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. Internment will follow in the Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
