Siiri was born on July 17, 1925 in Finland and was a proud serving member of the Finnish Lottas (medical war sisters). She moved to the United States as a young woman where she lived and worked. Siiri retired from the Finnish-American Village in Lake Worth, Florida where she spent her final years as a resident.
She was the daughter of Eetu and Brita Ristikaarto of Finland and predeceased by her daughter Laila, husband Erikki, four sisters and one brother. Siiri has two children, Liisa Fontaine and Veijo Kovalainen, four grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren who all reside in Florida. She also has many other family members in Finland and Sweden.
