It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Casey announces his passing on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by his Wife of over 65 years, Margaret (Peggy) White Casey, his Son Roy (Maureen) Casey, Daughter-in-Law Donna (Bobby) Easterbrooks Casey, and Daughter, Colleen (Phil) Casey Burd as well as his Grandchildren Brian (Renee) Porcelli, Ron Casey, and Hannah Burd. He will also be forever remembered by is Sisters, Marilyn (Mecca) Dominico and Patricia (Dan) Campbell as well his Sister and Brother-in-Laws, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers as well as his Sons, Robert and Ronald Casey.
Bob was well-known in both Rhode Island and Palm Beach, Florida through playing, coaching and sitting on the boards of many softball organizations, with his latest roles being Field Director and Executive Board Member of the Palm Beach Senior Softball Association (PBSSA). Throughout the years, his teams have won World titles, State titles, and many championships to include a Gold Medal in the Senior Olympics.
He retired from the General Electric’s Providence Base Plant after 30 years of service. He and his Wife moved from their home in Johnston, Rhode Island, where they raised their family to Greenacres, Florida, in 2005 where they enjoyed many years of retirement in Pine Ridge South II.
Per his request, burial will be private.
