RICHARD FRANCIS JONES 82, of Palm Springs passed away on June 12, 2010. He was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, moving to this area in 1968. Mr. Jones served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. While residing in Palm Springs he was a fire fighter with the Palm Beach County Fire Department. He was a parishioner at St. Juliana Catholic Church where he had served as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus # 2075, and an Honorary Lifetime Member of Assembly # 155 of West Palm Beach, and he served as Trustee of the Professional Firefighters / Paramedics of Palm Beach County Benevolent Fund. Richard is survived by 6 children: Judith (Mike) Reynolds, Lake Worth, Richard F. (Terri) Jones, Jr., of Royal Palm Beach, John (Traci) Jones of Royal Palm Beach, James (Johanna) Jones of Palm Beach Gardens, Joseph (Jennifer) Jones of Palm Coast, and Susan (Wade) Bravo of Palm Beach Gardens. He also leaves to cherish his memory his 12 grandchildren: Aislinn Mack, David Reynolds, Jessica Jones, Regina Reynolds, Mackenzie Jones, Jordan Jones, Savannah Jones, Taylor Jones, Paige Bravo, Travis Jones, Jamie Jones and Matthew Jones, and his great grandson Christopher Mack. He also leaves his aunt Ethel Totaro of N.Y. His family will receive friends on Monday, June 21st at the funeral home between 6:00 & 8:00P.M. A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lake Worth at 9:30 A.M. Inurnment with Military honors will follow immediately at South Florida V. A. National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
