Richard was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. While his early life was fraught with adversity, he conquered every obstacle and hardship. To know him was to know his quiet confidence. He was conscientious, disciplined and dutiful. Born in the Dominican Republic, in his early teens, Richard came to the United States speaking Spanish, but soon became fluent in English and mastered the language of Technology. After graduating from the University of Southern Florida, he began his career in IT security, most recently working for HCA. He was a respected and beloved member of his Cyber security team and was rapidly advancing in his career.
Richard leaves behind the two loves of his life, his mother Dora and his fiancé Allison with whom he was to be married on July 24th, He will be missed by his many friends, co-workers and family. Although our hearts are breaking, we will always remember his love of dance (salsa and merengue), his booming voice, his outrageous laughter, and the joyous, infectious smile that was always on his face.
