Age 89 of Lake Worth, FL passed away November 6, 2013. Richard was born on October 8, 1924 in Reading, MA to Eli and Katherine Beaumont. He was a combat veteran from WWII and received the Combat Infantry and Bronze Star with the Ninth Infantry Division. He moved south in 1962 and went to work as a mail carrier in the U.S. Post Office and received three Superior Awards. Richard retired in 1985 and worked at the Lake Worth Golf Course for the next 21 years – until age 81. He was a member of the American Legion, Life Member of the VFW, DAV and the Ninth Infantry Division. He quoted that he had “A Lucky Life!!!”
Richard is survived by: daughter, Marion Beaumont Beyer (husband, Harold); grandaughter, Dee Dee Scott (husband, Michael); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by: wife, Cecilia; granddaughters, Melissa Anne Sikes, Andrea Renee Sikes; brother, Robert Beaumont; wife, Doris; sister, Shirley Hayes (husband, Dick).
Friends may visit from 4:00 – 6:00pm on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, November 12 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33463. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
