Marta R. Duran, 83, of Palm Springs passed peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Bruno M. Duran with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. In 2002 Marta and Bruno renewed their love and commitment for each other at St. Luke Catholic Church. She was born on September 4, 1934 in Havana, Cuba, and was the daughter of the late Arturo and Ana (Campos) Diaz. She and her family moved to the United States in 1963. She worked as a bookkeeper in various businesses, and met Bruno while working at America Foods, Inc. Marta enjoyed traveling, photography, cooking, and reading. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Teresita “Tere” A. Duran, granddaughter Sophia A. Mayo, sister Lilia Mendiguren (Andoni), brothers Arturo Diaz (Silvia) and Francisco Diaz (Christina), and many other beloved family members. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Friday, February 23 from 7 to 9 pm at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24 at 10 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2892 S. Congress Ave, Palm Springs, FL. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
